How to make sense of life right now… and forever.
The Bible teaches us four very basic truths we must understand and act upon in order to experience hope today and to know God forever.
First Truth: God Loves You.
The Bible states that God loves us and wants a personal relationship with each of us.
"For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
"Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.” John 1:12
"This is love; not that we loved God, but hat He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” 1 John 4:10
Second Truth: Sin Separates Us From God.
We are sinful and therefore separated from God. He can neither experience God’s love directly or have a personal relationship with Him.
"There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.” Romans 3:10-12
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23
Third Truth: Jesus.
Jesus is God’s solution to the separation we experience from Him.
"But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
"For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance; that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.” 1Corinthians 15:3-4
Fourth Truth: Our Part.
We must accept God’s only solution to the problem of sin and separation.
"By grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9
"Behold, I stand at the door and knock; it any one hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him.” Revelation 3:20
You can accept Jesus right now by praying:
"Lord Jesus, I need You. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and received You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be.”
