Update on Disaster Relief
We had a team deliver a 24’ trailer of supplies we collected to a church outside Asheville that has become a center of ministry to churches and families in the area. The team cooked and scouted out needs in the area.
This week we ordered approximately $7000 worth of heaters and propane cylinders and sent to Turkey Creek Baptist Church (Pastor Mark Caldwell) for 50 of the 75 +- families that they are helping. These families lost everything and are living in tents. We are also partnering with the church to help build 10’x12’ sheds for the people to get off the ground and have heat. Some of our men are waiting for word to travel there to assist with the buildings.
We are going to partner with TCBC to build a tiny house for a pastor in Marshall who lost his house & pretty much all earthly stuff including vehicles, He has insurance but it will take time for that to process and if we can get him semi functional He can help others.
We are hoping to identify children / families who are living in tents or other homeless situations to adopt for Christmas.
Other pressing needs are people to gut & mud out buildings. Also building supplies, tools, nailguns, etc.
We are so grateful for WPBC’s donations to partner w us in these efforts. It is good when churches network together for the Kingdom. We will share more as efforts and needs unfold.
Thank yall!!!
